I am a semi-professional trombone player outside my day job. My primary instrument is the bass trombone with tenor trombone as a close runner up. I can also play the euphonium as a double and as needed. I bring more than two decades of experience playing in all kinds of ensembles across many genres. I pride myself on my professionalism and approach to playing and am one of the top bass trombone players for big band in Iowa.
My experience includes leading the Metro Brass Quintet since 2014 which has played for festivals, corporate events, weddings, and Christkindlmarket DSM. I have been fortunate to perform regularly in many great groups in Central Iowa including the Max Wellman big band, Music Under the Stars, Ames Municipal Band, and various community groups and musicals. I've been fortunate to be called as a sub for professional travelling chows and am always open to the explore right opportunity.
I earned a Masters of Music from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 2013 and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in 2010.
